China Restaurant in Deming

No chemicals in the food. This is the best Chinese food I’ve ever had in my life. Low prices for excellent quality and quantity. Ordering one stir fry rice is big enough for 6 people. All the meals were large. We ate so much. Best I have ever had. My favorite Chinese restaurant ever.

I was really pleasantly surprised at this little gem. Family style dining, food came out fast but service was a bit slow but there was only one waitress working though. Will return.

Straight up the best overall Chinese food in the area! Loved the orange chicken, fried rice, and the enormous wonton soup!! Will continue to stop as I drive through Deming!

Great local Chinese food

First off, we didn't know if we should seat ourselves or wait. There is no sign and no host/greeter. There were about 3 tables with guests when we arrived. We placed our appetizer and main course. Appetizer and drinks came pretty quickly. The egg flower soup was delicious. By now the restaurant is full and these people seated AFTER us are getting there food. One server even brought our food to wrong table. Only when I asked for boxes and the check and yes, got a bit rude, did these people start to pay attention. Hire more people. Get organized. Will not return and definitely will be telling everyone I know not to eat here.

We are here hoping it would be better than Chinese food we are finding in Las Cruces. It was good, but not great. The Orange Chicken was not easy to eat, as it was fried too hard. Texture wasn't the best, nor was the flavor.The sweet and sour chicken was good, as was the vegetable lo mein. The fried rice was very good, too. I'm still in search of excellent Chinese food in the Southern New Mexico region.

Very good. Large portions too. Good service. Would definitely go there again if we are in the area. Only down side is no "family" meals, so you just have to order each dish you want separately. But the price was still very reasonable.

I am amending my vote. If you there are restaurants that whose food is a gift please don’t forget take out when eating in is not in your best interest. Please tip your servers as they are dependent on your generosity! I ordered a double order; one order of the orange chicken and one order of the Spicy chicken Shrimp and beef. We will be eating several meals. The food is delicious with large portions. One orders their rice separate from the entree. The price is affordable. The service is excellent. I have eaten Chinese cuisine in many cities and I have to say this is some of the most delicious food I have eaten. Deming is fortunate to have such an excellent chef. The ambiance is modest but the quality and price of the food makes up for it. Addendum: We eat here frequently and consistently have had excellent food and service!

Spent just over $60 on a decent meal for the family, paid way too much for what was given. The steamed and fried rice were decent but not great. The sweet and sour chicken was passable, but the sesame chicken was literally just the same chicken and sauce but with sesame seeds sprinkled in top. The wonton soup was inedible and had to be thrown out. The potstickers weren't steamed, but fried... tasted okay, but not what one would expect. The man taking the orders was borderline rude when I called in, didn't tell me how long it would be or how much. Overall, I won't eat there again, ever.

Very good food with fast, friendly service. Casual and comfortable atmosphere with two TVs, one on sports channel and the other on weather channel. The chicken lo mein and hot and sour soup was tasty.

Food was good and very reasonably priced.Severall lunch specials for about $6 with large portions and soup and egg roll included.Food quality was good and portions large.The place seemed clean, until I went to the restroom.Restroom was very grungy and has sd one very strange signage and earplugs on the wall. See posted pictures.Still gave it 4 stars for food taste and value.

Stood at counter for 20 minutes while guy took phone orders ignoring the line of customers actually in the store. I walked out.I won't be back.

Clean and good service!Food? We'll, it's great! Seems very freshly made for main dishes. One order is enough for me 4 times over!Don't be in a hurry or order ahead. Meals are made to order. There's plenty of seating in the historic building.

We live in Las Cruces & still make the hour long drive here when we want Chinese. Large portions for the price. Orange Chicken & vegatable fried rice are our favorite.

Large portions. A bit salty. Nothing real interesting just good rice or noodles with traditional meats and sauces. Family friendly. Does close early so don't plan on a date night here . A bit noisy and crowded and dated interior. I would normally rate this situation lower, however the owner is very nice and concerned about his guests. The portions end up in a to go box for yet another meal, making it a real bargain too! The noodles are good on their own. Overall a consistent place to eat and fine for a small town.

They have there very own chef with chef specialties in addition to the usual Chinese fare. The dining room is tastefully decorated and the staff busy but friendly. A hidden gem in a town that seems to be dying.

The value to price is amazing! Living in the middle of a desert there is always a chance that if you go for seafood it's not going to be fresh but this restaurant does it right everytime I've been here. The shrimp in lobster sauce is my favorite.

I love this place! Great food for very reasonable prices. The amount of food you get is unmatched any Chinese restaurant I've been to all around. I've only ordered the Szechuan Beef and the ingredients are fresh as well as the beef. Just watch out because spicy dishes, they will be very hot judging by my plate. But again I like spicy food but for some it might be more they can handle. I'm sure this can be avoided by asking to adjust the spiciness to your desired taste. Bon Appétit!

Our first eating at the China Restaurant and was not disappointed. Food was awesome. The portions are tremendous, will probably end up having three meals from it. Great flavors. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. A wonderful experience.

Had a very bad experience with service. We didnt stay long enough to get our meal so i cant rate the food but from the time my grandmother was seated at the table, waited for the other 2 members of our party to arrive, and sat and waited more ; we were only tossed a couple menus and ignored. 45 minutes in total without so much as a drink order. The guy waiting tables was very rude and kept ignoring us but would stop to mop or help other tables (4 others there with us in total). He kept rudely pointing and saying "one second". We never got our drinks even ordered let alone delivered to the table. We walked out and had a wonderful meal at Compos where staff were super nice and we had our food and drinks before 30 minutes were up .

Delicious! Good sit-down Chinese restaurants are becoming harder and harder to find and this one is a gem. We had egg drop soup, hot and sour soup, cheese wontons, chicken egg rolls, pork fried rice, strawberry chicken an vegetable chicken.Everything was excellent. HUGE portions. Fresh and hot! We have enough leftovers for several meals. We will be back every time we pass through Deming.

Seems like the waiter has a chip on his shoulder. Been going there for many years. He has always tried to rush people to order, doesn't check up on table to see if we need anything, and is rude when he is asked for any requests. Food is just okay. Not sure if he's the owner. Owner or not, he has lost my business.

The best place to get Chinese food in all New Mexico

We have come a few times to see if this place gets better, but it doesn't it's disgusting. I'm not sure how people eat there or why it even open still. The chicken is fatty and taste like dirty water. I ordered a plate and I told them it tasted awful tonight, the waitress said I would still have to pay for it. We left hungry and disappointed. Won't be eating here ever again. It's a matter of time before this place shuts down. Yuck.

That was our 1st time there. We loved everything we ordered. It all had a great taste. Our waiter was great for being the only one working the floor.

Larger than life plates, if you're not a big eater I recommended share a plate with someone. Service is ok, rude at times. Also no fountain drinks.

Very good Chinese food . The helpings are huge and delicious! The service is great too ,I just wish they stayed open later and 7 days .
